Istanbul to Cairo Recon Expedition
Once again the MotoDiscovery imagination is working overtime. Our love affair with Turkey and the region combined with a building interest to further explore the regions of Middle East has inspired us to ride a legendary route flavored with thousands of years of history, a multitude of civilizations and just the kind of excitement and challenge that adventure motorcycle touring enthusiasts long for.The Istanbul to Cairo Recon Expedition is, what many may refer to as, a scouting tour, 35 days of non stop touring pleasure. Over the years MotoDiscovery followers have grown to appreciate the value, greater degree of spontaneity and promotion of exploration, that is the signature of a Recon.
This tour will involve ocean transport of personal motorcycles to Turkey, riding through Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and ending with the transport of the motorcycle back to the USA from Israel. Past MotoDiscovery tour participants are given first chance to fill one of the 12 slots available for this event. This is another Skip Mascorro (MotoDiscovery founder) and Kazim Uzunoglu (MotoDiscovery Turkish partner) collaboration that historically results in a magical riding experience and an early sell out.
