Ride Conditions This tour is intended to be purely on paved surfaces and can easily be piloted by any experienced motorcycle touring enthusiast on any style and design of motorcycle including side cars and trikes.


HighlightsIstanbul was once known as Constantinople, a port that has held strategic importance through the millennia, an Old World hub that stood reign for thousands of years over the Byzantine, Latin, Roman and Ottoman Empires. Today it is hip, a blend of ancient and modern, with a skyline dominated by the Hagia Sofia Cathedral (532 AD) and the Blue Mosque (1609 AD). You will want to plan on spending more time here either before or after your tour.

Ephesus is an archeological masterpiece with layers of history that date back as far as the 10th Century BC, a city during the Roman Empire that was only second to Rome itself, with a strong biblical history. You'll wonder at its temples, palaces, broad avenues and ancient decadence.

If you find adventure in dining then you will be right at home in Turkey. Fresh seafood is a favorite. Skewered grilled lamb and beef are mainstays. Grilled vegetables, ripe fruit, delicate pastries and baked goods - all with that Mediterranean flair. You will dine well on this journey ...and it's healthy too! But beware if you should acquire a taste for the high-octane Raki!

One night on the Southern Aegean at the seaside resort of Bodrum will be a pleasant and pampering stay. A visit to the Museum of Underwater Anthropology in a 15th-century Crusaders castle overlooking the bay is a desirable and interesting activity. The evening will be free for shopping, fine dining and taking part in an energetic nightlife.

A two-night stay in the village Mediterranean village of Kas will allow for optional riding, a chance to explore old tombs and walk the steps of a Roman amphitheater. Like all of Turkey, it is a photographers dream.
