Highlights
This is romantic winter escape filled with dynamics. The train excursion into the Sierra Madres to the Copper Canyon region is testimony that what we do off the bikes is as important as the ride. Overnight on a remote rim of the Copper Canyon will provide participants a chance to marvel at this complex, four times greater in size than the Grand Canyon.

To reach the Baja, we will arrange passage, cabins and motorcycle transport on an overnight ferry across the Sea of Cortez from Topolobampo Bay to La Paz. You will appreciate the MotoDiscovery office having arranged all of this in advance of your arrival.

The Baja. There is nothing like it. And while it may be snowing back home, the climate here is perfect for cruising the paved roads that often run along the tranquil Sea of Cortez. With towering boojum cactus, this sparsely populated peninsula offers great scenery from your motorcycle throne. Fresh seafood of course is abundant and the MotoDiscovery tradition carries on here with exceptional dining adding to the quality of the experience.

Alamos is a small colonial era village in the foothills of the Sierra Madres that rise from the Sonora desert. It is the authentic Mexico with meandering haciendas, the dominating village square, and extremely friendly local population. Walk the streets at night without a care. This is the Mexico often overlooked and that for over three decades we have come to know and cherish. MotoDiscovery enjoys a long history here and we are welcomed as family!

Gray whales migrate by the hundreds from the distant Bering Sea and settle in along the coast of Baja for the winter. We make sure you get an up close experience with them by arranging a boat excursion to a Pacific bay. These multi ton "friendlies" playfully surface, begging for attention and to have their photo taken. Count this as an event to always remember.
