"The only thing you risk is wanting to stay."
Colombia is one of those destinations that is rising above outdated perceptions to be what we predict will be the greatest riding destination in South America. It is blessed with all the qualities we seek from the motorcycle travel experience with incredible diversity in scenery and rich make up of native Indian, European and African cultures. Savvy Latin America travelers have long praised Colombia as having the warmest and most romantic and welcoming people you will find anywhere.
To start this season we'll be maintaining our groups small and intimate with no more than 8 bikes. The character of this experience is what we refer to as "light adventure", keeping it authentic with great routes selected to have you experiencing the real Colombia. One should consider this an exceptional opportunity to invite your favorite riding partners so this offering is ideal for passengers. After all, "'adventure" need not always be adrenaline driven and Colombia oozes romance.

Sitting at a height of 8,300 ft. above sea level Bogota will impress you immediately for its equally high culture and highly educated and polite population. With a profusion of exciting world class museums, we'll have to kick off your tour with a little orientation ride and a planned city tour.
We can't avoid making reference to Juan Valdez. Remember that iconic television figure, the amiable gentleman farmer who along with his burro would engage you with his smile and make the sipping of Colombian coffee a near orgasmic experience. Well the truth is that Colombia has a huge coffee industry and if you love coffee, this is but one more reason to fall in love with Colombia. We'll visit lush green coffee fincas and learn of the wonderful process that provides us our daily wake up...can you smell the aroma?
Founded in 1616 by the Spanish, Medellin has numerous examples of Colonial architecture but effectively is blended with modern sophistication. Situated in an Andean valley, you will long fore more time in this city legendary for its nightlife and arguably the most beautiful in South America.
The beauty of riding Colombia is its diversity. It has five distinct regions; the Caribbean Coast, the central Andean highlands, the eastern planes of the Orinoco River, the Amazonia located in the south east part of the country, and the Pacific coast to the west. Equally divers are the people with colorful blends of European, native Indian and African heritage. These are the qualities that lend to this special MotoDiscovery touring experience.
Service. We've crafted a motorcycling experience that is heavy on providing you an authentic look into all that is the wonder of Colombia. That takes great people on the ground and we have the best. MotoDiscovery started in Latin America in 1981. Service and care of guests is genuine in this culture, a proud value that is core here at MotoDiscovery, where ever we travel.
Situated on the Caribbean, Cartagena is another Spanish Colonial gem and will be where this tour will end. You are encouraged to stick around another day or two after your tour to explore the gorgeous beaches down the coast, take in the nightlife and discover its romantic and colorful centro. We will of course accommodate any of your special needs after the tour. (Looking for a party for New Years Eve? Bring in the New Year in Cartagena with MotoDiscovery)
Dining will be a pleasant adventure and of course MotoDiscovery considers this a vital component of any touring experience. In our usual style, on most occasions you will have the freedom to choose from the menu as culinary exploration is as important to us as we know it is important to you...bon apetite...buen provecho!
